what is double the trouble?
Double the Trouble is a cookbook that Annie and I made for our end of year English project during 10th grade year. It originally started out as individual end-of-year projects in 9th grade where we separately made our own cookbooks. This year, we are continuing and combining our previous projects to make one cookbook.
For our assignment this year, our task was to make a "genius" project, or a year-long project about something that interests us, and then spread the word about our project to others. Since we needed to let others know about our cookbook, we decided to make a website. Someday, we are hope to get our cookbook published. Our cookbook, Double the Trouble, contains recipes from both of our own cookbooks . There are two versions to each recipe, and while both are healthy, one is more nutritious than the other.

how did we make the cookbook and each dish?
As mentioned before, we both contributed recipes from our own cookbooks. Some recipes we both already had versions of, while others we added because we wanted them in our book. For the recipes that we added because we thought they would make good additions to our book, we got inspiration from websites like Pinterest and BuzzFeed, but ultimately every recipe was made our own. Once we found a dish we liked, we would look at the ingredients and directions and see if there was a way to simplify and make it more healthy. In the end, our recipe was usually much more different from the inspiration recipe.
The hard part came after we picked out the recipes to go in each book. After that, we had to figure out how we wanted to present the recipes, both in this website and in the cookbook. Annie did most of the technical aspects of the website, like linking all the photos to their respective title, while I did all the descriptions and formatting of each individual recipe. Annie, being the photographer of the two of us, also took most of the pictures you see on this website and in the cookbook (the ones that are slightly lower quality were most likely taken by me. Oops.) I formatted and put the paper copy of the cookbook together using the Mac program Keynote, which is very similar to PowerPoint, but Annie still did all the stuff involving the pictures.
